Monthly Observances: September 2012

September’s upon us (I’m still not sure where this year has gone) and  for those in the know, this month is official:

Prosper Where You’re Planted Month (Which begs the question … why are people mistaking you for a plant?)

Preparedness Month (But they didn’t say “prepared for what” – so I’m taking that as choose-your-own-subject and picking “dessert.” Who’s with me?)

Mold Awareness Month (Yes, those used to be hot dog buns. Quit staring.)

Subliminal (buy more books!) Communications (buy more books!) month.

Update Your Resume Month (H.R. would like to see you in October.)

Backpack Safety Month (Please don’t drop it under the bus. It isn’t safe for the backpack.)

Happy Cat Month (Oobie’s been waiting. Not entirely patiently.)

and finally:

Bourbon Heritage Month (For those whose relatives drove them to drink.)

If I’m going to have to be aware of my mold, I think I need to celebrate Bourbon Heritage first. 🙂

I’m with you. In fact, if we celebrate Bourbon heritage long enough, we won’t even have to worry about the rest of these!
