A Belated Happy New Year

Last week was Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year and first of the autumn High Holy Days. Here’s wishing all our Jewish readers Shana Tova.

The image merits a little explanation.

Last Friday morning I discovered my tuxedo urchin, Wilson, wearing a plastic bottle cap on his “head” (which is really his rear, but we’ll pretend otherwise). I keep the cap on top of the tank for measuring purposes, but it must have fallen into the water, where the fashion-conscious Wilson retrieved it and put it on.

That or he’s Jewish and I just didn’t know.

Either way, your Monday photo is a sea urchin wearing a hat – or a yarmulke, depending which holidays you observe.

Have a fantastic week!

Oh, how funny! He went out and converted while you weren’t looking. 🙂 Thanks for sharing this picture, Susan.
