Unfortunately, a lack of Wi-Fi connectivity in my hotel room and an exceptionally busy conference kept me from posting the expected updates.
A brief recap of the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers’ Conference highlights:
- I met a large number of fantastic writers, both published and seeking publication, made several new friends and heard about many wonderful projects in progress. Readers, take note: there are definitely some exciting books in the works.
- I made contact with some amazing agents and editors, who shall remain nameless but whose energy and enthusiasm helped to make this conference absolutely amazing.
- I ate too much. (Yeah, we expected that one.) The breakfast buffet at the Renaissance Marriott’s restaurant is far too tasty for my own good.
- I attended a number of excellent classes taught by a variety of fantastic writers, learned a lot (check the Twitter hashtag #RMFW11 or my feed, @SusanSpann, to see exactly what I mean) and tweeted my fingers off in between, when I could pick up wireless in the lobby.
I also came home to find wildfires raging in the office, so I’ll be a bit quieter than usual for a day or two, but back on the scene with lots to say as soon as the fires are out.
