Monthly Observances, November 2013

In the United States, we celebrate Thanksgiving in November. At the Spann household, we’ll also celebrate “End of Tesla’s First College Quarter,” and hopefully “Seahawks Win Again Sunday.”

This month, the rest of the U.S.A. is also (allegedly) celebrating:

Manatee Awareness Month (Not that you’re likely to miss one in the living room.)

Family Stories Month (This one time, at band camp…)

National Impotency Month (I tried to come up with a joke, but I fell flat.)

Roasting Month (Ironically, celebrated during the first cold month of the year.)

Sponge Month (Whooooooo has his own holiday under the sea?)

and, last but certainly not least:

National Novel Writing Month (Because these things don’t write themselves, and I’d best get back to mine.)

Do you know any other celebrations happening this month? I’d love to hear about them in the comments!
